🌀About our featured guest: Betty Zambrano Zabaleta is an independent journalist specializing in Afro-Latin American and Caribbean Studies. She is a decolonial poet, activist, and member of Afrocolectiva, an Afro-feminist, anti-racist, and Pan-Africanist organization and digital media platform, created with the goal of combating all systems of oppression through activism and digital communication, adopting an intersectional and pedagogical approach. For over five years, she’s dedicated herself to telling the stories of Black communities in rural Colombia’s Caribbean region through decentralized journalism.
