No Kings
NO KINGS Orford, NH
In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings.
JOIN US AND STAND UP AGAINST AUTOCRACY! On No Kings October 18th National Day of Action, we will once again hold a rally/demonstration on the Orford NH - Fairlee VT Samuel Morey Bridge that spans the Connecticut River. The rally is from 10am to 12pm. We hope to get a huge turnout once again! We invite people from neighboring towns in both NH and VT to join us. Bring US flags, signs with big lettering, friends, and good spirit. We encourage those who cannot attend to try to drive by and honk and wave in support.
This is a civil and nonviolent demonstration (see below). We ask that people not confront or escalate interactions with people of different viewpoints. Our permit also requires that we do not block traffic or get in the roadway. We will have a dedicated police officer at the event to ensure everyone's safety.
If inclined, please bring donations of durable goods (e.g. canned and boxed goods that can be stored) to be donated to the Orford Cares and Fairlee Food Shelf. These donations will help support those in need in our local communities. These organizations are increasingly important as grocery prices continue to rise. Thank you!
NO KINGS:
Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.
The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty. Grow our movement and join us.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events._
