DEMO 🚨 Academic freedom for Palestine! 3rd of February the university board of UiO will discuss their 7 collaboration projects with Israeli institutions through Horizon Europe. They claim these projects are not institutional, meanwhile several million euros in funding goes directly to these genocidal universities and help keep the apartheid institutions alive. Their argument for not boycotting is to preserve «academic freedom». Palestinians, however do not enjoy this freedom, as their institutions in the West Bank are frequently attacked by the IDF, most recently at Birzeit University. Palestinians under israeli rule are discriminated against and do not get the same education opportunities as their israeli counterparts. We need all students, staff and academics to show up at Professorboligen to show that we take Palestinian academic freedom seriously, and that we demand an economic, institutional academic boycott of all complicit israeli universities!
