OTTAWA - VIGIL AND PROTEST Join us at 5 PM on Friday, April 17th, for a vigil at the Human Rights Monument as we commemorate Palestinian Prisoners’ Day, a day that centers imprisoned Palestinians at the heart of our struggle. The vigil will be followed by a protest at 6 PM. Currently, over 9500 Palestinian political prisoners are detained, including over 350 children and at least 91 health care workers. The urgency of the moment is compounded by a bill passed in the israeli knesset on March 30th, legalizing death by hanging, an apartheid measure that only targets Palestinians. It is our duty to stand with our prisoners. Join us in the streets to assert the right for our prisoners to live free and dignified. May every prisoner be free and may zionist jails crumble.
