This historic illumination marks the first time ever that a City Hall building will be lit to honor Palestine, following Canada’s recognition of the State of Palestine earlier this year. November 15 marks Palestine’s Independence Day, and while independence remains unfulfilled, we come together on this day to reflect on the immense hardship our people have endured over the past two years and to renew our shared commitment to justice and to Palestine’s liberation.
