Indivisible

Peaceful Nationwide Free America Walkout

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. I'll start by saying that I believe the time is now to hold another RESIST Trump and his administration peaceful protest and I'll get to that shortly. Now in a the new year, it would be nice if we could concur that we're healing, on the mend, from the unconstitutional, anti-democracy, anti-neighboring country damages Trump and his administration imposed in 2025. Sadly, that's not the case as it only continues to escalate. The 50501 movement (i.e., 50 protests, 50 states, one movement) is partnering with Women's March's for a "Nationwide Free America Walkout" on January 20, 2026. Below is an excerpt of language from 50501 that describes the sentiment behind this protest. I'm asking for strong representation of females and males attending a peaceful rally in Overland Park, KS. at a previous "NO KINGS" location. "We are living through a historic turning point. Across the United States, we’ve seen a rapid consolidation of executive power, the hollowing out of essential public services, the erosion of data protections into a growing surveillance state, escalating militarism pushing us toward global conflict, and the rise of authoritarian rule rooted in fear, control, and exclusion. The human cost is staggering. Experts estimate that cuts to USAID alone could result in 14 million preventable deaths by 2030, including 4.5 million children. Just two months into Trump’s second term, Project 2025 was already more than 41% implemented. This was not accidental. It was a deliberate strategy designed to overwhelm, disorient, and evade accountability. Karis Nemik, from Star Wars origin, warned: 'The pace of repression outstrips our ability to understand it… it’s easier to hide behind forty atrocities than a single incident.' But history, and our own recent experience, shows that fear is not inevitable as displayed by the "NO KINGS" movement. The narrative of inevitability is cracking under the weight of a growing people’s movement. Please sign-up to join this peaceful protest and invite friends and neighbors!
