SOLIDARITY SING-IN

Lisa Doscher

Here’s the Solidarity Sing-In lineup! 💛 Let’s connect and raise our voices! No singing experience necessary. We’ll sing simple, beautiful and energising songs from social movements, and some of our own. Led by Oxford singer/ song leaders Namvula, Lisa Doscher and Elena Harris, the intention is to hold a space where we can all feel what we feel about the world we’re living in right now. We’ll sing songs in the spirit of the world we want to create which includes full human rights for every single person. This space is open to all people who care and want to be part of a fair and just society- you don’t need to be a singer or an activist! We’ll be singing in solidarity with the Together Alliance March on 28/3 showing that we won’t allow people in our communities to be targeted and we won’t be divided by racism. At the march there will be a massed sing including some of the songs we’ll be teaching from Singing Resistance. The event is 7-9pm, doors open at 6:50. We’ll start singing promptly at 7:00 and finish by 9pm. The event takes place at The Nest, run by the amazing Young Women’s Music Project. The nest is an independent, inclusive music space centring young women, trans and non-binary people.
