Vote Yes on Prop. 50 to approve a new, temporary congressional district map to be used until 2030. Prop. 50 provides a COUNTERMEASURE to Republican partisan redistricting actions in other states, such as Texas. Prop. 50 DEFENDS VOTERS from authoritarian acts and power grabs in other states. Prop. 50 LEVELS THE PLAYING FIELD by offsetting gerrymandered maps elsewhere. Prop. 50 is A TEMPORARY SOLUTION. It DOES NOT ABOLISH California's Independent Redistricting Committee which will resume it's duties in 2030.
