Westchester: March Against Trump's Fracked Gas Pipelines!

Donald Trump is trying to force more fracked gas pipelines through New York, claiming that he struck a deal with Governor Hochul to approve them. Hochul is considering three fossil fuel projects that threaten our water, air, and climate: the expansion of the Enbridge so called Algonquin pipeline, dubbed "Project Maple" and two pipelines that the state already blocked five years ago – Williams NESE and WIlliams Constitution. The state is expected to make a decision any day now on the Williams NESE pipeline, which would be built off the coast of NYC and harm marine life. If the state approves the Williams NESE pipeline, it will open the door to approving Project Maple and other expensive and unnecessary fossil fuel projects. On October 4th, we’re coming together to tell Governor Hochul to stop any and all pipelines in Westchester and across New York. We’ll meet at Charles Point Park, which is right across the decommissioned Indian Point Nuclear Center and the spot where the Enbridge Algonquin pipeline crosses beneath the Hudson River. There, we will rally demanding that Hochul stand up to Trump and block these costly projects that endanger our health, violate New York’s climate law, and promote fracking. Then, we’ll march towards Peekskill Landing Park. On our march, we will hand out flyers and wave to attendees of the Peekskill Rotary Festival and share action steps we can all take. Bring a sign, a water bottle, and a friend! March route will be about a mile. Shuttles will be available between locations. Cosponsored by: Mother's Out Front, NYCD16/15 Indivisible, Climate Families Westchester, and New York Communities for Change, WESPAC
