Yesterday, Pensacola CRA voted to approve a contract with Bayou District Consulting, despite outcry from the community. Bayou District is infamous for forcibly displacing Black residents from New Orleans with the Columbia Parc project. Now, our city plans to allow them to adapt the same racist gentrification model for the former Baptist site.
