Citizens Bank: Stop Funding ICE

This a local Indivisible event! Join Mt. Airy Indivisible Neighbors at the Chestnut Hill Citizens Bank branch at the Corner of Germantown Avenue and Bethlehem Pike on Saturday, January 10th at 10:00 AM as we come together in communities across Pennsylvania to send a message to Citizens Bank and raise awareness in our communities about Citizen’s role in supporting immigrant detention and for-profit detention operators. Citizens Financial Group, through subsidiaries like Citizens Bank, is one of the last major banks to finance private prison companies that are used by the Trump administration to detain and deport immigrants on a mass scale. If communities put pressure on Citizens Bank to end this financing this could halt the expansion of ICE's round-up of our immigrant neighbors. Right here in Pennsylvania, GEO Group operates the Moshannon Valley Processing Center, the largest ICE detention facility in the Northeast, just three and a half hours from here. Join us and others statewide to demand that Citizens Bank stop supporting cruelty and inform their customers of their role in supporting the fascist and racist deportation activities of ICE and the Trump administration. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
