9/6 • We Are America March (WAAM) Kick Off This is an event for all ages. Bring your kids for a morning of family-friendly civic engagement. Who says Resistance can't be fun? Independence Hall, Philadelphia • Rally @ 9:30 am MC: Co-chair of Drag Out the Vote, Brita Filter! Speakers will include: Rabbi Michael Pollack, Rep Rabb + more! For the kids: bubble machines, balloon artists & lawn games! Bring donations for the WAAM clothing drive: washable blankets, adult jackets and sweaters, thermal underwear and socks. All donations will be delivered to Friendship House in Wilmington, DE. This September, the We Are America March will be carrying a copy of the Constitution (written by kids from all over the country!) 160 miles from Philadelphia to DC. Our goal is twofold: • To deliver our Constitution to Congress as a powerful reminder that the next generation is watching, and they deserve a government that honors the founding promise. •To build a network of communities with the skills and confidence to sustain non-violent resistance and enact positive social and political change.
