Free Them All Sunday Service & Community Dinner

Mumia Abu-Jamal

#MumiaWeek ‘26 starts in less than two weeks! Here’s what to expect: Sunday, April 19th starts us off with the Free Them All Sunday Service & Community Dinner from 2 to 6pm at Tabernacle United Church. Alongside the Church of the Revolution, we’ll engage in an inter-generational grounding ceremony to lift our spirits, learn more about our movement’s history, break bread of course, and commemorate the participants of the first inaugural March4Mumia, all while refining our relationships to fortify our movement’s future. Monday, April 20th continues #MumiaWeek with our Innocence & Abolition Art & Crafts Night, from 5pm to 8pm at the Girarden Wellness Garden, located at 4157 West Girard Ave, Philadelphia, PA. Here, we’ll support a community garden’s fight for sovereignty as memory workers Lunise Cerin & Wynn Eakins guide us through a presentation on innocence and revolution in history & nature, re-imagining the concepts through art as come together under the stars, creating banners, signs and new masterpieces to take with us into the March of Innocence. Thursday, April 23rd throws some fun in the mix with a We! Want! Freedom! Trivia Night Teach-In, 6:30pm to 9pm at Tattooed Moms! Join @phillypalestinecoalition , @bapphiladelphia and local luminaries alike for an evening of game show foibles, bar food and friendly competition as we learn from our political prisoners, win some prizes, and dissect the systems of separation and extraction stacked against us. On Friday, April 24th at 4:30pm, we’re celebrating Mumia Abu-Jamal’s 72nd birthday with a rally outside District Attorney Larry Krasner’s office, demanding he release the remaining Mumia boxes, and stop making Mumia an exception to his “progressive” record, all while uplifting the important campaigns needed to keep our movement alive. From there we’ll march to The Friends Center at 1515 Cherry St, for a dinner reception at 6:30pm where we’ll celebrate Mumia with a few surprise speakers, watch clips from Mumia documentaries, eat cake and write cards for the man of the hour. Then finally, the March of Innocence on Saturday, April 25th for the Grand Finale! Starting at 2pm @ Malcom X Park! #freeemall
