Let’s Watch: Thank You for Thinking of Me

Join us for our upcoming Let’s Watch: Thank You for Thinking of Me on Thursday, October 23rd at 6:00pm! Thank You for Thinking of Me follows the story of Deyanna Davis, who’s fighting the criminal (in)justice system and the generational cycles of racial injustice that come with it. Alongside her is Myles Carter, a Muslim activist who witnessed the incident and joined the fight for her freedom. Both Deyanna and Myles will be joining us to share their experiences and talk about how we can take action in our own communities. We’ll be unpacking what it really means to show up for each other through mutual aid, community care, and court watching because just like Court Watch asks us to witness and hold the system accountable, this conversation will push us to reflect on how we can do the same in our everyday organizing. Folks will walk away with a deeper understanding of how the criminal (in)justice system harms our people and real ways to tap in, take action, and imagine what’s possible when we move together. 📍 This event will take place in person at Modaba Education Center (or join us virtually on Zoom)! 😷 Masks are required (KN95 or better) Register: bit.ly/letswatchtyftom (link in bio)
