abolition art build & wheatpaste workshop

Ayling Zulema Dominguez

“Abolition is not absence, it is presence. What the world will become already exists in fragments and pieces, experiments and possibilities… Abolition is building the future from the present, in all of the ways we can.” — Ruth Wilson Gilmore. Join us THURSDAY, FEB 12, 5-8PM as we hear from organizers working to build the future from the present, and create abolition artwork that helps make our mission abundantly clear ❤️‍🔥 We’ll be making batches of wheatpaste, limited quantities of containers available to take wheatpaste back to your neighborhood, BYOC (bring your own container) if you’re down🫙🙂‍↕️🫶🏽 Kid-friendly space, all ages welcome, masks required & provided! All art materials will be provided, as well, but feel free to bring your own to the mix, if you’d like! Don’t feel too confident in your artistry abilities? Nonsense!! (But also, we’ll be printing out rad posters ahead of time so you can walk away with plenty of abolitionist artistry ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥)
