NO KINGS In Our Neighborhood: OAKLAND

Join Stand Up For Science and Indivisible Pittsburgh 0n Sunday, September 28th! We will gather at the intersection of Fifth Ave & Bigelow Blvd in Oakland at 12:30 to stand for democracy, the rule of law, science, and for our neighbors for “No Kings in our Neighborhoods”. We will have speakers, write to our elected officials, and strengthen our resolve to support truth, democracy, and justice. Bring your signs and letters to elected leaders for us to deliver. Indivisible Pittsburgh and Stand Up for Science are calling on Pittsburgh communities to stand peacefully against authoritarianism and corruption in neighborhoods across the city and to prepare to stand together. This “NO KINGS: in the Neighborhood” event is a part of a peaceful national campaign in response to the increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration. In Pittsburgh, we will gather together on October 18 at the Pittsburgh City-County Building at 12:30. They are targeting immigrant families, profiling, arresting and detaining people without warrants; threatening to overtake elections; gutting health care, environmental protections, and education when families need them most; rigging maps to silence voters; ignoring mass shootings at our schools and in our communities; and driving up the cost of living while handing out massive giveaways to billionaire allies, as families struggle. Stand up for yourself, stand up for your neighbors.
