Rally Against Slumlords: Lynd & Trigild are a public health crisis.

Everyone deserves safe, livable, decent housing conditions, but Lynd Living are subjecting tenants to unsafe conditions & unjust fees. Join us at Granville Parklet at 11AM on Thursday, December 11th to march on the nearby Lynd property management office to demand the urgent repairs needed from slumlords Lynd & Trigild as we head into yet another winter where tenants cannot count on slumlords to provide livable conditions. Cosponsored by Hill District Consensus Group As the property manager for most of the former AHRCO properties sold to NB Affordable now going through foreclosure cases, Lynd has claimed to tenants they are not at fault for the lack of repairs and don't have the money for repairs, all while working to millions to buy as much of the NB Affordable properties as they can. They profit more the less repairs they make, and they think they can get away with it. Especially as we head into yet another winter where tenants of NB Affordable properties cannot count on timely repairs and are at risk of utility shutoffs, red tags, leaks, and more, it's time to step up the pressure on Lynd and Trigild. Rally with us to demand Lynd Living & Trigild: Meet with with tenants organizing for safe & livable homes, Make needed repairs from licensed professionals, Distribute the utility subsidy checks many tenants are entitled to that Lynd & TriGild have not delivered, Erase all debt claims against tenants, rather than charging tenants for the landlord’s systematic failure to facilitate affordable housing subsidy recertifications & lease renewals, and stop retaliating against tenants for organizing.
