PITTSBURGH PROTEST HANDS OFF VENEZUELA ABOLISH ICE

DAY OF ACTION! Join us at 4 PM, Saturday, January 10th at 1000 Liberty Avenue downtown to say HANDS OFF VENEZUELA and ABOLISH ICE! The Trump Administration has kidnapped Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and started a blatantly criminal war against Venezuela. These are nakedly imperialist acts to force US hegemony over Latin America and to install a US puppet government that will give Venezuela’s oil resources over to US corporations — the new “Trump Corollary” to the Monroe Doctrine. At the same time, ICE has stepped up its campaign of terror across the country. In Minneapolis, which has borne the brunt of the latest escalation because of a racist and xenophobic campaign against the local Somali population, ICE agent Jonathan Ross murdered Renee Nicole Good in front of her wife and neighbors. Vice President J.D. Vance claims Ross enjoys "absolute immunity" from prosecution. Through lawfare and warfare, the Trump regime is attempting to consolidate absolute power within U.S. borders, in Venezuela, and across the western hemisphere. We must not let them! Pittsburgh DSA joins in the call for all Pittsburghers and all people of the United States to rise up and take action this Saturday, January 10th, to protest this illegal war, to stand in solidarity with the sovereign people of Venezuela, and call for the abolition of ICE!
