Did you know that: Charter and private schools weakly or partially comply with State requirements to have certified professional teachers or have a full offering of extracurricular activities? Private schools are not required to comply with State requirements to accept students with special needs or to have students assessed through state tests for academic achievement? Charter and private schools are also not required to comply with State requirements for the following: Certified professional administrators Governed by an elected school board Neighborhood school locations Buildings that meet safety and hurricane standards All students are accepted regardless of gender identity Discipline policies are published for public review Please keep the message of your signs on supporting public education, students, and teachers.
