4/13/2026 UPDATE ON TAREQ (from slides) :
After spending 3 months in Arizona, at both the Arizona Removal Operations Coordination Center (AROCC) and the Eloy Detention Center, Tareq has been transferred back to the Northwest Detention Center (NWDC) in Tacoma, WA.
Much of Tareq’s time in Arizona was spent in medical isolation after contracting tuberculosis. Tareq was told that he was responsible for finding and coordinating his own medical care for an illness he contracted while in ICE detention. During the medical isolation period, Tareq was denied the right to visit with legal counsel on 6 occasions.
Tareq being back in the PNW is great news but he is still being held unjustly in ICE detention, having committed no crime and being charged with nothing.
As the execution of Palestinian Prisoners has become law in the settler colonial state of Israel, we will continue to call for Tareq’s and all detained Palestinian immigrants’ immediate release from ICE detention!
