Day Without An Immigrant Solidarity Rally

Brown Hope

Join us for the Day Without An Immigrant Solidarity Rally on Wednesday, April 1st! Unite Oregon and Brown Hope, in partnership with Augustana Lutheran Church, are hosting this space to build commitment and energy for immigrant justice. This event focuses on uplifting African and Afro-descendant immigrant communities and how they are being targeted by ICE and other federal agencies. Our event schedule includes these energizing activities: call-and-response chants, musical performances, speaker remarks, and community breakout discussions to talk about May Day 2026 and brainstorm future solidarity actions. If you have any translation or other accessibility requests, please fill out this form: https://bit.ly/DWAIAPR1 The Day Without An Immigrant campaign was designed by the farmworker union, PCUN, and is a demonstration of our collective power. The point is to make visible what was always true: this country depends on immigrant workers. This ongoing campaign includes economic boycotts calling attention to the essential role immigrants play in our economy, our communities, and our daily lives. You can also support The Day Without An Immigrant campaign by joining the statewide small business canvass on April 1st at 10:00am. Canvassers in Portland, Salem, Woodburn, Bend, and the Coast will be dropping off posters and talking with local businesses about joining us on May Day. Sign up to canvass here:https://forms.gle/wwHrfBRnX2sCvsmd7 You're invited to show up, speak out, and add your voice to this growing movement.
