Anti-Zionist Chanukkah Party

This will be a warm, family-friendly event for anyone looking to light candles and eat food in community with anti-Zionist Jews and allies. Chanukkah is a holiday about miracles and endurance. This year, as we gather around our menorahs, we honor the extraordinary resilience of the Palestinian people who continue to face genocide and unspeakable devastation; alongside our grief, we celebrate the miraculous strides and growth of the global movement towards Palestinian liberation and collective safety. Whether you’re a longtime JVP member, JVP-curious, or simply looking to break bread with other Jewish and non-Jewish Portland Leftists, we’d love to mark this Festival of Lights with you. Accessibility info: ● This will be a masked event, except for eating or drinking. ● ADA: The Multnomah Friends Meetinghouse is accessible to all, including an elevator for access to the second floor. ● Transportation: The Multnomah Friends Meetinghouse is located at the corner of SE Stark St and SE 43rd Ave. The SE Belmont & 42nd stop of the 15 bus is 4 blocks away, and the SE Cesar Chavez Blvd & Stark stop of the 75 bus is 5 blocks away. ● Restrooms: All restrooms are single-stall and gender neutral. ● Childcare: This is a family friendly event! We will also have childcare available and kid friendly activities.
