From Queens, With Love - Letters for Palestinian Prisoners

Queens SID4P

From Queens, With Love - Letters for Palestinian Prisoners 🗓️ Saturday, April 18th | ⏱️ 1 - 3 PM 📍MOKAFÉ - 25-73 Steinway St, Astoria Since 1974, Palestinians commemorate prisoners and their struggle on Palestinian Prisoners Day on April 17th. At MOKAFE, we will write letters to honor those enduring the cruelty of the colonial Zionist entity, whose tireless courage and steadfastness remind us that Zionist prisons cannot contain the fight for their freedom or the national liberation of Palestine. We will be fundraising for Middle Eastern Children Alliance for their work providing children and families with emergency assistance for over 2 years since the start of the brutal attacks on Gaza. On March 30th, 2026 the Israeli Knesset passed the “Prisoner Execution Law,” legalizing death by hanging, a measure that, in practice, would target only Palestinians. This bill comes amid the settler-colonial Zionist entity’s ongoing efforts to dispossess Palestinians from their land and escalate their barbaric assaults, from the genocide in Gaza to the relentless attacks on our prisoners. We will also be writing letters to Queens representatives in Congress that are bought and paid by AIPAC and the Israel lobby. Representative Grace Meng (District 6), Gregory Meeks (District 5), and Tom Suozzi (District 3) are complicit in the systematic abuse, torture, starvation and medical neglect of Palestinian prisoners in Zionist dungeons. Prisoners are and will always be the compass of our struggle and the guiding light of our movement. Come join us to honor them! أسرانا وشهدائنا هم طليعة انتصاراتنا الكبرى
