JOIN US FOR OUR 50TH COMMEMORATION OF LAND DAY! 🪾🇵🇸 Join us this Sunday at MAS to recognize the roots of our struggle. Our Land Day programming will include a viewing of our large-scale exhibit of Gaza before and after October 2023, a presentation and discussion on ecocide in Gaza committed by Israel, and trivia! Our program also includes a poppy planting activity for children as we plant the seeds of hope with the younger generations. Since 1976 Yom al Ard, or Land Day, is the commemoration of Palestinian resistance against zionist land theft and the martyrdom of six Palestinians during large- scale protests against the occupation. Today, Palestinians at home and in the diaspora continue the struggle against the occupation’s destruction and dispossession of indigenous lands. We reaffirm our connection to the land, and in that we reaffirm our right to exist on it. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 This will be a family-friendly event, open to all ages!
