BIG MESSAGES FOR IMPORTANT TIMES – We’ve now held FIVE successful overpass banner events to STAND UP FOR DEMOCRACY in Ridgefield and we’re getting better every time! Jackie will be leading us once again and appreciates your help in setting up from 9:30 am to 10 am before our “official” 10 am start. Bring a banner if you have one and personal signage too! Noise makers like cowbells and costumes like frogs and such are also admired. KEYS TO SUCCESS? For this location, your sign messages should be SHORT with LARGE LETTERS that can be seen by the vehicles below the overpass or those passing by. Flags are great too! Find parking where you are comfortable. The Park and Ride just East of I-5 is a short walk up to the overpass but please be cautious when crossing Pioneer Street as drivers frequently speed in this area.
