LIBERTAD! A TEACH-IN ON PALESTINE SOLIDARITY & ICE

Palestine Solidarity Working Group

LIBERTAD! A TEACH-IN ON PALESTINE SOLIDARITY & ICE ft. PSWG, PAL-Awda NY, JUPI BK, and tabling/letter writing to prisoners and detainees, including to @freeleqaakordia ! The struggles to free Palestine and abolish ICE are inseparable, connected by shared resistance against imperialism and colonialism--from Gaza to Venezuela to Iran to Minneapolis. In the context of the empire's attacks on West Asia and Latin America, we bring you a teach-in on the relationship between domestic colonialism and global imperialism on Sunday, March 22nd, 3:30pm. This event will be hybrid, 5-85 Woodward Ave, Ridgewood NY for in-person, and virtual participants can register at the link/QR code on the flier or our bio. Our event features organizers across the country speaking on a variety of topics, all with the purpose of grounding our understanding of police and "immigration enforcement" in an anti-imperialist and anti-colonial framework, as well as bridging the anti-ICE movement to the prisoner liberation movement. Comrades from Minneapolis will share their on the ground experiences amidst state kidnappings and murders, anti-repression organizers will talk about the post-9/11 scare and the origins of ICE as an anti-Muslim/anti-Arab task force, and PSWG members will track the evolution of ICE agents from slave-catcher to ethnosupremacist soldiers, and more! JUPI BK (@jupi.bk) will conclude our talk with ways to support anti-ICE initiatives in New York City. This event will also include tabling and fundraising for various groups and support campaigns, as well as letter writing to our loved ones, and comrades behind bars. See you there!
