De-ICE Wyoming 2.0!
Let's De-ICE Wyoming 2.0! Immigrants Made Sweetwater County Great!
Where: On the corner of Dewar Drive and Gateway Blvd. in Rock Springs, WY. (The public sidewalk out in front of the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce)
When: September, 27th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM
Unfortunately, we had to unexpectedly postpone our first scheduled ‘De-ICE Wyoming” protest at the last minute, but it has now been rescheduled, and we are ready to do this! We will not stop fighting against the agreements that the Sweetwater County Sheriff and Wyoming Highway Patrol have made with ICE!
Join us to protest the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between ICE, DHS, and the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Department to jail ICE detainees in the Sweetwater County jail, and Sheriff Grossnickle’s “task force” level agreement with ICE to investigate and detain our LOCAL immigrants in Sweetwater County!
We will also be protesting the Wyoming Highway Patrol agreement in Sweetwater County to participate in the 287(g) program to make arrests on ICE’s behalf.
Sweetwater County has always been proud of its immigrant heritage, celebrating its 56 nationalities for the last 100 years, and we do not believe that Sheriff Grossnickle’s willingness to work with ICE, and to detain and help deport our immigrants, reflects that Sweetwater County pride!

Note: The Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce does not plan, endorse, or participate in any of our protests. We use the public property in front of the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce to hold our protests, which is our right under the First Amendment and the peaceful protest laws of Wyoming.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
