Emergency Rally - In Response of the Ice Murder
Belmont County stands in solidarity with Minneapolis!
On Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, Renee Nicole Good—a mother, poet, and U.S. citizen—was fatally shot by an ICE agent in a residential neighborhood in Minneapolis. While the Department of Homeland Security has claimed "self-defense," witness accounts and video evidence tell a different story of conflicting orders and unnecessary escalation.
We are gathering in St. Clairsville to send a clear message: Federal agents are not above the law. We are calling on our elected officials in Ohio to break their silence and demand transparency from the Department of Homeland Security and Secretary Kristi Noem.
Why We Are Rallying: The surge of thousands of federal agents into American cities has led to the exact tragedy we feared. This isn't just a Minneapolis issue; it is a question of how our government treats its people. We demand that our Ohio representatives fulfill their constitutional duty of oversight.
Our Demands for Rep. Michael Rulli:
-Vote to Impeach Secretary Kristi Noem: We call on Rep. Rulli to support Articles of Impeachment against Secretary Noem for her failure to oversee federal agents and the resulting loss of life.
-Call for Immediate Resignation: We demand that Rep. Rulli issue a formal public statement calling for Secretary Noem’s resignation effective immediately.
-Congressional Inquiry: We demand that the House Committee on Homeland Security launch a full-scale investigation into the rules of engagement used during the Minneapolis raid.
What to Bring:
-Signs calling for "Justice for Renee Good" and "Federal Accountability."
-Peaceful energy. We are here to honor a life lost and demand better from our leaders.
-Warm clothes (it's cold in the Ohio Valley this week!).
Let’s ensure that the voices of the Ohio Valley are heard in Washington. Justice for Renee Good.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
