How can we help humanity
Indivisible
The flame of humanity
the event is at the front steps of city hall every sunday of the month except the last at 12pm
this event is about allowing people from the community to receive a vision of how life can be fundamentally better by we the people speaking out from the heart.
Many people know our society cannot continue on as it is and there is a need for people of all walks of life to come together and see if we can develop a higher vision that establishes common ground while at the same time seeking to address the various imbalances we see in politics, corporations, in the entertainment industry, that seek to pacify the people and enrich a select few.
There are those who are religious, scientific, artistic, political, and those who see themselves representing another field or just may not know. But one thing is for certain is that in these times, we may not be able to survive by excluding anyone except those who wish violence upon a certain group even a select few.
It is understandable that more people want to abuse the abusers, but as martin luther king jr once said, hate does not drive out hate.
I hold a vision that we need a fundamental shift in our society in all areas of expertise to acknowledge our basic rights, our humanity, our consciousness, as the building block for a peaceful yet dynamic revolution.
I would like to open this event to the public for people to share their vision and how we can address deep imbalances in our self and our society without polarizing just one group even though one group is incredibly responsible for many injustices.
We must become the change regardless if others are willing to change.
We are moving away from representative democracy into a more direct form of democracy where the people can become the legislators. Many people realize that our system of checks and balances has not worked to its highest potential and partially the people are to blame.
But until we have a new system, we must use the one we have otherwise we are furthering the cause of the anarchists who often desires to burn the whole thing down and start anew. Though I can understand their anger, I believe their are examples of how positive change can happen without this.
The answer to many of our issues are not political in nature but in communication of belief and life experience without trying to change other people. But I believe we must use politics as a medium to help bring change we would like to see and many of us want to see UBI (universal basic income), U healthcare, U education, U housing, U work opportunities that are not exploitative but based on democratic and co-op related principles.
We must find a way to get out there and let our voice be heard even if it means someone wishing to hurt us because we stand for the movement of love and justice for the people.
Anyways, be prepared before coming for the weather, especially sunny weather as you might want an umbrella. People can sit on the city hall steps or bring your own chair. If people don't come within ten minutes of the start I may leave. The event time can go for as long or short as we want but generally we can shoot for a half hour to an hour as the space is not an easy space to be in in terms of comfortability.
All the megaphones and signs that people bring to protests I hold a vision that people can use these things way more often and you are welcome to bring them here.
Occupy wall street helped the people raise their awareness about issues but was not able to fundamentally change the system. What can change the system is a movement that might be termed "occupy the rent" or "occupy the bills" or "occupy everyday life" where people find a way to communicate to the people that we will not work for the system until we all receive basic human rights where nobody's survival is truly threatened.
