Sister District San Francisco
#FreeAmerica Walkout with Sister District Project SF
Join your friends and neighbors at Sister District Project San Francisco on Tuesday, January 20 for the #FreeAmerica Walkout—because a Free America is the only America worth calling great!
Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. “Free America” is the vision our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight Tr*mp’s second regime of ICE raids on our communities and troops occupying our cities.
The president thinks he can keep us silent and that his rule is absolute. But in America, WE THE PEOPLE have the power; we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty.
Look for the Sister District San Francisco banner in front of 350 McAllister between Larkin & Polk from 3:30 - 4pm, before the main event, currently scheduled for 4 - 6pm in front of City Hall.
Bring signs, wear your SDP t-shirt and caps if you have them (we'll have a few extras).
Together, let's demand a country that puts our families over billionaires' fortunes—public schools over private profits, healthcare over hedge funds, prosperity over the profits of price-gouging and climate polluting corporations.
A core principle behind all national protest events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

Since 2016, Sister District Project has been building enduring progressive power in the states to improve people's lives, including by supporting community-based State Bridges organizations, which are led by people of color on the ground and do critical grassroots work year round.
