Cake, Candles, and Consequences
Affordable Pennsylvania
🎂 April 22 is Rob Bresnahan’s birthday—and NEPA has a wish.
Rob Bresnahan and his Republican colleagues in Congress have voted to cut the crucial programs that working families across Northeastern Pennsylvania rely on: SNAP, Medicaid, and critical healthcare tax credits.
These are not abstract policies. These are lifelines.
Working families might not feel like celebrating, but we're coming together in Scranton anyway to raise our voices.
Join neighbors, workers, and families in Courthouse Square as we demand accountability. We will hear directly from community members impacted by these cuts. People who are living the consequences of these decisions every day.
Then, we will mark the occasion. We will put on party hats, light candles, and make a collective wish: that Rob Bresnahan recognizes the harm his votes have caused and commits to restoring funding for the programs our communities depend on.
Afterward, we will march together to his Scranton office and deliver a birthday card with a clear message: NEPA deserves better.
