Rally for Affordable Energy
Affordable Pennsylvania
Join Affordable PA and Action Together NEPA on March 16th as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Scranton!
We are going to be meeting outside of Senator McCormick’s office to let him and Representative Bresnahan know that NEPA is not feeling the luck of the Irish when it comes to how these two vote in congress.
Pennsylvanians are struggling with high energy costs thanks in part to their vote in the Republican Tax Law last summer that makes massive cuts to clean energy tax credits. While Bresnahan campaigned on an “all of the above” energy policy, he voted to cut clean energy subsidies that help to lower electricity and gas prices, create hundreds of thousands of jobs, and expand U.S. energy independence. Without these tax credits, Pennsylvanians will face higher energy prices and reduced energy supply.
We want to hear from you! Bring your energy bills and share your stories.
What you need to know:
Bring signs! Signs focused on energy and affordability would be great!
Invite your friends! Let's get as many folks there as possible!
There is often street parking available near Senator McCormick's office. There are also several parking garages, including one across from the Steamtown Marketplace.
