Indivisible
Save Our Science
Join prominent medical and science experts at a “Save our Science” (SOS) rally at Seattle's Waterfront Park from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Sept. 14.
The purpose of the rally is to raise the alarm about the devastating consequences of the Trump Administration’s layoffs and budget cuts for science research and for science-based organizations like the Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control, and the National Institutes of Health, as well as the serious risks to public health—including 16 million people cut from Medicaid and restricted vaccine access—under the misguided direction of Health and Human Services Sect. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The group will meet at the staircase at the bottom of Overlook Walk, Waterfront Park, 1505 Alaskan Way, for a brief march at 1 p.m. along the waterfront, with speakers beginning at 1:30 p.m.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
