PEOPLE'S TOWN HALL
SAARPR
Last week, Mayor Katie Wilson hosted a town hall on surveillance, safety, and the City’s response to ICE in Seattle. Wilson is pedaling back on many of her campaign promises. Challenged by her own campaign team, the mayor is falling short in her response to the unjustified increase in cameras, despite lacking concrete information on security breaches and public concerns.
Now is the time for all of us to come together and keep the discussion going.
Join us for our next People’s Town Hall and be part of a key moment in our City’s history to keep Seattle a safe, welcoming home for all. As federal immigration enforcement agencies and state-sanctioned kidnappings threaten our communities, adding now the threat of extreme surveillance around the City, this is the time to come together as a community, unite, and take action. Together, we can stand strong in defense of our immigrant neighbors and send a clear message: Seattle will not stand idly by. Our collective voice and action drive the heart of this City, and together, we can demand justice and accountability from our City, its representatives, and law enforcement.
This is a chance to shape the conversation and influence the decisions that impact our lives. We’ve invited other grassroots organizations fighting against racist and political repression to join the conversation. We wanna hear about their wins and how we can fight together to become stronger!
Mark your calendar for this 🗓️Saturday, April 11th, at 📍Cherry Street Village, 720 25th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122. Bring your passion, your stories, and your vision for a just and inclusive Seattle; your voice matters!
