ICE Watch and Mutual Aid Kitting Session

**UPDATE: we keep us safe - masks will be required. Forgot your mask? No problem - we’ll have masks onsite for you** Join us for a ICE Watch and mutual aid kitting session in a family supportive environment. Fun activities will be available to keep the kiddos engaged so adults can work on kits. Kiddos are also welcome to help with kitting. We will have some kit making materials there (please bring more if you have them - see list below). See event details below. Please note that this event is for kit making, not a guided lesson plan for discussing ICE and policing with your family. This is a safe place to have these discussions with families and like-minded community members. We are unable to provide any legal advice on immigration or other cases. Suggested materials to bring: -Know Your Rights Cards* in varying languages (Consider commonly spoken languages in your communities) -Whistles -Keychains -Masks (Kn95 or better preferred) -Baggies (i.e. Ziploc) -Flyer inserts -Toiletries -Handwarmers -Gloves/hats (please, only brand new) -Underwear and socks (please, only brand new) Event details: Location: Douglass-Truth Public Library Meeting Room Date: Sunday, 1/18 Time: 10am-12:30pm * If you need Know Your Rights/Red Cards or flyer inserts in a specific language, please notify us.
