Picture-DECEMBER 2023 cathedral square
π’ End of year events this weekend π’
π΅πΈ Friday, 19th, 5pm. *Train station rally* Join us for the final Friday night rally of the year - let's make this big! Starting outside as usual and then moving into the station to sing at about 5.30 pm.
π΅πΈ Sunday, 21st. *Silent walk and vigil: our hearts are with Palestine*. Assemble at 10.45 am at Devonshire Green, S1 4GT for a silent walk through the city centre and a vigil in Cathedral Square ( starting at approx 11.30 am).
For the past two years of the genocide we have marked the Christmas season with a vigil in this location.
As people turn their eyes to the "Little Town of Bethlehem" and the nativity narrative, we too look in the direction of Bethlehem and Palestine as it is today: a land divided, occupied and oppressed.
In the picture above, in December 2023 we marked the slaughter of 20,000 people in Gaza, thinking it could get no worse. IT DID
We invite people of all faiths and none, to stand with us in love and solidarity with the people of Palestine.
π’ Please continue to join and support solidarity actions in support of the eight hunger strikers
