Somerville for Palestine (S4P)’s Dabke Troupe formed in 2025, in the spirit of social bonding, cultural resistance, and group movement. Our goal is to preserve and uplift Levantine heritage through the folkloric dance of Dabke and dance for a Free Palestine. To this end, we learn Dabke together, perform at community events, and teach it to all cultural and dance enthusiasts, who feel empowered through the synchrony and energy Dabke brings.
