For your safety, it's advisable not to have any visible badges or banners on your way to the demo, and don't engage with any far right if you see them.
This is a peaceful counter-protest called by Stand Up To Racism Portsmouth, to show friendship and solidarity with refugees, and to show our support for those attacked in Canoe Lake last Sunday, around the time the far right held a vigil for professional bigot Charlie Kirk.
We strongly oppose those choosing to 'protest' outside the home of some of the most vulnerable people in society, who have no voice and no power. This is not protest, it's bullying and intimidation.
We welcome anyone who wants to stand with us peacefully in solidarity with refugees. We will have stewards whose priority will be people's safety and de-escalating any confrontations.
