This a local Indivisible event! Join Jersey Shore Blue as we rally in front of Citizens Bank in Spring Lake to demand they severe ties with CoreCivic and the GEOGroup two of the largest operators of for-profit ICE Detention Centers in the United States. These facilities have extensive histories of poor conditions and medical neglect. Reports indicate that over the past two years, Citizens Bank has arranged approximately $2.5 billion in financing for these private prison operators. We demand Citizens Bank follow other major banking institutions and stop profiting from the pain of immigrant incarceration. We'll have posters with photos of over 40 individuals who have died in ICE custody or due to ICE actions for rally goers to hold. Feel free to bring your own signs about the inhumanity of ICE detentions.
