No Kings

NO KINGS Macomb

In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings. Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan — it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together. Join us for Macomb County's first No Kings protest, sponsored by Macomb Defenders Rising and Clinton Township Democrats: 📍 16 & Van Dyke 🗓️ Friday, October 18 🕛 12:00–2:00 PM What to Expect: A powerful visual action with signs and chants Tables with local groups and voter registration info A trained safety team and medics on-site A welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere Opportunities to plug into local organizing 🎨 Want to make a sign? We’re hosting a Sign-Making & Flyer Packet Party a few days before the event: 🗓️ Sunday, October 12 🕐 1:00–3:00 PM 📍 Location TBD (we’ll email all registrants once it’s confirmed) ✊ After the Macomb protest, we encourage everyone to show up for the Detroit protest in solidarity with our city. The suburbs must show up and make it clear: No National Guard in our streets. 🚗 Carpool support will be coordinated by the No Kings Tri-County Coalition. ➡️ Sign up for Detroit here: https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/841630/ Bring a friend. Bring a sign. Bring your energy. Bring the noise. Let’s make it loud: No Kings in Macomb. A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
