Stony Brook, NY: No Fracked Gas in New York's Energy Plan!
Join us for a rally to urge Governor Hochul to block new fracked gas pipelines and commit to meeting New York's climate goals!
On September 29, the Hochul administration is holding a public hearing on New York's state energy plan at Stony Brook University.
The energy plan provides broad policy direction that guides state energy-related decision-making. It includes recommendations through 2040 for meeting the state's energy needs.
Unfortunately, Governor Hochul is considering approving new fracked gas pipelines, including the Williams NESE off the coast of New York that will raise our energy bills, contaminate our water and beaches, and cause climate change.
We're calling on Hochul to invest in wind and solar power and move New York off fossil fuels!
We'll rally before the hearing at 4:00 pm and then go inside at 5:00 pm to attend and testify.
For those who want to testify at the hearing, talking points will be emailed to those who RSVP for the rally.
