No Partisan Maps

No Partisan Maps - House Redistricting Committee

Florida voters have already spoken loud and clear: we do not want mid-decade redistricting, and we refuse to accept partisan gerrymandering that rigs our districts for political gain. Now, the Legislature is moving toward drawing new voting maps before the next election—a move that violates Florida’s Constitution and threatens our democracy. Because drawing maps to benefit any party is illegal in Florida. Join advocates from across the state in Tallahassee to make sure lawmakers hear us: No mid-decade power grabs. No partisan maps. Honor the Fair Districts Amendments. What We’ll Do We’ll gather at the Florida Capitol, connect with organizers and community members, and attempt to speak directly with legislators, urging them to protect voters—not politicians. We will also make our voices heard during the committee hearing, where decisions about redistricting may be on the table. Why It Matters Floridians passed the Fair Districts Amendments to stop politicians from manipulating district lines for partisan advantage. Drawing new maps now—mid-decade—is a direct response to national calls for gerrymandering and is illegal under Florida’s Constitution. Partisan mid-decade map-drawing would disproportionately silence Black, Brown, and working-class communities across the state. Redistricting determines who represents us. This process must serve the people, not political interests. Our Message No rigged maps. No partisan games. Protect fair representation for all Floridians. Say NO to any mid-decade redistricting scheme. Florida’s democracy works best when every voice is heard—and yours is essential. Join us in Tallahassee to stand up for fair maps and a fair future. More details will be shared as we get closer to the event.
