Redistricting Special Session Rally
No Partisan Maps Coalition
Florida is currently in a struggle for partisan power. We are seeing one party trying to draw new maps, cutting out widely Democratic voters and Democratic districts. Not only does this violate the Florida Constitution, it violates the will of the majority of voters and ethical census practices.
Governor Ron DeSantis called for a special legislative session after the regular session ended in March, pulling lawmakers back to Tallahassee after focusing too much on culture war issues. A state budget failed to pass, as did efforts to advance redistricting. This is just one of potentially many special sessions that could be lined up for 2026.
Monday, April 20th is the first day of the unconstitutional partisan redistricting special session in Florida. Join the No Partisan Maps coalition at our rally at the Florida State Capitol and then attend committee hearings to voice your opposition.
