ICTX #NoKings Solidarity Banner Drop I-35

Indivisible CenTex

Indivisible CenTex Solidarity Banner Drop March 26, 2026 -- 5pm-6pm Temple, Texas SW H K Dodgen Loop and S. General Bruce https://maps.app.goo.gl/NyR6jtHR8hmYUNcf9 (31°05'25.6"N 97°23'11.3"W on Maps) Indivisible CenTex joins in solidarity with the "Democracy Bridge Minneapolis" for resistance across the nation. On Thursday, March 26, communities along Interstate 35 will gather in locations visible from the highway during rush hour to deliver one unified message: YES DEMOCRACY – NO KINGS 3/28. This is a one-time, coordinated corridor action designed to be simple, safe, and high impact. This Banner Protest will be held from 5-6PM. We will have banners, but ask everyone attending to bring a sign for local traffic. If drivers can clearly see your message at highway speed, it qualifies. Keep it bold and readable in two seconds. Recommended: Large foam or corrugated plastic boards High contrast lettering (white on black reads especially well) Short, simple wording There is parking available on both sides of the bridge. When parking, be respectful of the small businesses in the area. Dress in layers: Prepare for hot, windy conditions on the bridge. We recommend sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen! Make yourself visibile (light clothing or high visibility vests if available) Our goal is to keep everyone safe, grounded, and non-reactive while maintaining strong, visible presence. Core Principles Safety over spectacle Disciplined, nonviolent, non-reactive behavior Care for one another Roles and Guidance Safety lead(s) and Point people / de-escalators are clearly identified with vests. Their role is to engage and de-escalate with people filming, counter-protesters, or law enforcement. Assume you may be filmed. Dress and act accordingly. Participants should not engage directly with cameras or protesters. No explanations, no arguing, no gestures. If filming, counter protesting, or law enforcement arrive, move away and notify a point person or safety lead. Keep the focus on visibility and solidarity. Action Safely Remain fully on pedestrian-accessible areas. Do not block sidewalks, ramps, or bike paths. Do nothing that could endanger drivers.
