Update: We Launch Saturday April 11th! 💗The Return of our FREE Gardening 101 Workshop Series! Led once again by community garden member Kingsley, he has created an accessible, basic course to help introduce community members to the fundamentals of gardening to ensure they start with confidence. This hands-on series meets on 5 consecutive Saturdays, outdoors at Bronx River Community Garden.  Designed to build skills through the series, we are looking for participants who plan to attend all workshops in the series.  Each workshop will be engaging and cover a different topic.  Dates: April 11, 18,25, May 2, 9 Time: 11am - 12:30pm Workshop 1: Soil Preparation Workshop 2: Plant Choice, Seed Starting and Bed Layout Workshop 3: Composting Essentials Workshop 4: Planting Seedlings Workshop 5: Plant Pruning and Soil Maintenance How to reach the garden:  Train: (2/5) to E.180 or West Farms Bus: BX9,21,36,40,42,Q44 This program is provided for free to the community through generous sponsorship from Community Board 6.
