Pass the Peace, Not the Laws: 4/20 March
Indivisible
This a local Indivisible event!
Ohio’s new weed laws are being pushed as “control” and “safety,” but they expand policing and punishment in ways that fall hardest on marginalized communities. This is how it has always worked. Weed laws in this country were built on racism, used to target Black and Brown communities, justify arrests, and funnel people into jails and prisons.
Now it’s happening again. Increased enforcement means more stops, more charges, and more lives disrupted. And for immigrants, the stakes are even higher. A single charge can lead to detention, deportation, or separation from family. What gets framed as policy turns into fear, surveillance, and harm in our communities.
This is not separate from everything else we are facing. These laws connect to policing, to economic control, to systems that decide who is protected and who is punished. They are part of a larger pattern that keeps power in the hands of a few while the rest of us deal with the consequences.
We are coming together on 4/20 to call it out and take action. To stand with the communities most impacted. To make it clear that we see what is happening and we are not going along with it.
Show up. Stand together. Take action.
Smoke Out Fascism!
