State of Passion + Lulu (Sept 28 at 5:30 PM) State of Passion The documentary follows Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah — British-Palestinian surgeon – and his wife Dima as they navigate their family life while Dr. Abu-Sittah provides urgent care inside and outside of Gaza - making them both targets and champions for the Palestinian cause. Directors: Carol Mansour and Muna Khalidi Lulu (Canadian Premiere) Lulu follows the true story of 16-year-old Jana Zakarnekh and the tragedy that strikes her when she steps onto her balcony in search of her cat. Director: Labeeb Hanif Shaikh All proceeds from this screening will be donated to Glia – medical support in Gaza. We also welcome donations to the TPFF x GLIA Gaza health fundraising campaign. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Dr. Tarek Loubani (@trklou), member of Glia’s team, and a physician serving in Gaza’s hospitals.
