THE PEOPLE'S GALLERY

Palestinian Solidarity Collective 🇵🇸

Mark your calendars for The People’s Gallery! ARTIST SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN! Submit and find more information through the link in bio. This project was started by PSC due to the firing of a curator at an art gallery at York for refusing to unjustly remove a pro-Palestinian art piece at the behest of Zionist higher ups, not limited to the ex-president of the university as well as the gallery owners. In addition to this incident, York has also attempted to label itself as a “decolonial institution”, while ignoring Indigenous community members, endorsing the gentrification and expansion of the campus, cutting Indigenous Studies as well as enforcing through violence and surveillance the abuse of Palestinian solidarity advocates. The purpose of the gallery is to take up space and remind people that decolonialism is our future, show off (using York’s own campus) their complicity and hypocrisies, as well as fundraise and support our community here and abroad. Sign up and submit your art TODAY until April 5th using the link in our bio. Share with friends, artists, etc. We will also be putting out more details as well as volunteer forms soon. As always, if you’d like to get involved with organizing on our campus against fascism, zionism and all forms of colonialism, reach out to us and introduce yourself via our email, [email protected]
