Child care educators are predominantly women of color and immigrants, yet they are paid poverty wages despite their essential work. Governor Hochul has consistently refused to raise progressive revenue in the New York State Budget by increasing taxes on the ultra-wealthy — in the state with the most millionaires and billionaires in the country. We call on State Assembly and Senate members to immediately co-sponsor and pass the Invest in Our New York package of legislation, enabling funding for New Yorkers' priorities, NOT those of the ultra-rich.
