Take Back our Science for our Democracy

Indivisible

Science is for everyone–and benefits everyone. We are joining Washington, D.C. and other cities across the U.S.A. to take back our science rally. We are the majority, and we cannot stay silent. Over the past year, the Trump administration has been stripping science for parts, just as they are eroding the democratic norms that make science, research, and inquiry possible. There is no life-as-usual, or science-as-usual under these conditions. Join us on March 7th and rally to Take Back Our Science! We’re also mobilizing because attacks on diversity, equity, inclusion, and access are attacks on science, and vice versa. Science is at its best when it includes everyone and when it stands to improve people’s lives. It’s time–as ever–to stand up for science, for everyone who does it, and for everyone who benefits from it. *A core principle behind this rally is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. All of our rallies are Peaceful! Do NOT engage with any agitators. Don't take the Bait! Do not step into the street. The sidewalk is our stage. Do bring your creative signs and the joy of standing next to someone who gets it. Bring your friends and carpool. Bring a camp chair if needed and water to stay hydrated. We win with dignity. We win with unity.
